Reflections on Matthew 6:33

At one point in our lives, we ask ourselves, what GOD really wants us to do. The answer to this question can be found in this verse.

Matthew 6:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Here’s a reflection on what this verse mean:

Seeking GOD’S Kingdom first
This means having a faithful and loving relationship with GOD first above anyone and everything else. It is communicating with JESUS everyday and earnestly finding HIM with the intent of having a closer relationship with HIM above anyone else. It is making Him your best friend and confidante. It is always believing in JESUS and seeking HIS presence everyday in our lives.  It is committing to love HIM with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.

Seeking GOD’S Righteousness first
It means accepting and living by the Word of GOD written in the Bible. It is following HIS commands, laws and statutes written in Bible. In other words, it is being obedient to Him. It is always putting HIM as the top priority in every decision we make. We should include and consult Him in every decision we make. We should see to it that every decision we make would please Him. It also means committing to serving Him wholeheartedly and making time for HIM. As love demands in deeds, love also can be best spelled with time. So we should always give time to our LORD.

And all these things shall be added unto you

This means that when we love the LORD first and commit ourselves to serving HIM and make HIM our top priority, HE will provide us with everything we need. And that we should not worry on what to eat and what to wear because our Father in heaven already knows that. He is a loving and good Father and He will never reject us. For He said in His words in John 15:7 (NKJV) If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

So, establish a closer relationship with CHRIST now. Also, start giving time to HIM now by communicating with HIM and serving HIM and you will never have to worry with the simple things that you need. Our GOD is our Greatest Provider. Consider this verse: Proverbs 10:3 The LORD will not allow the righteous to hunger, but He will reject the craving of the wicked. My prayer for you is that you will have a closer relationship with JESUS and obey all HIS commands. I love you with the love of the LORD. Praise and glory are unto HIM. Amen.

Is JESUS our GOD?

Have you ever asked yourself who JESUS is? And, have you ever wondered if He is our GOD?  If your answer is yes, then this article is for you. By the way, I used to believe that the LORD JESUS is just the Son of GOD and not GOD Himself. But, after attending some church services in a Christian Pentecostal church in college, I started to question who the real GOD is and what is His Name. Fortunately, last night that question was answered and revealed to me by the LORD JESUS. As I was reading an article about baby JESUS on the Bible app for kids which is called Superbook, I ran across a verse found in 1 Corinthians 12:3 which says tbis, "So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse JESUS, and no one can say JESUS is LORD, except by the HOLY SPIRIT." We can learn from this Bible verse that JESUS is our One and Only True Living GOD. And, no one can confess that He is GOD except when the person is guided by the Holy Spirit. On the other han...

The Gift of Salvation: The True Meaning of Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching and some people think Christmas is about receiving gifts. They think about the presents, the decorations, and the parties. They are missing out on what Christmas is really about. The true meaning of Christmas is the gift of salvation. It's about knowing that the world is full of despair and knowing that there is someone out there waiting to save you. It's about not being alone. It's about waiting for someone to come and show you the true meaning of Christmas. And only JESUS has made the biggest move to save us from all the troubles that we experience everyday. The true meaning of Christmas is the gift of salvation. This is the reason why the Christmas tree is decorated with evergreen and holly, because these plants represent eternal life. The Christmas tree is also decorated with other greenery because it represents the nature of the world. The Christmas tree is decorated with lights and ornaments, because they represent the light o...

Best and the godly ways to move on from unrequited love that JESUS taught me

Oftentimes we fell in love with someone who does not love us back either because they are not interested in us or is already committed to someone else. This kind of situation is heartbreaking. And, it is hard for our minds and hearts to accept the truth that we are not loved back. We kept on expecting and hoping that someday the person we love will reciprocate the feeling we have for them. But, the more you hope and expect, the more you become hurt until one day you find the courage to tell yourself, ‘this is enough I have to move on’. So, what are the best and the godly ways to move on from unrequited love? Here they are: 1. Believe and accept JESUS as your LORD and Savior. This is the first step to moving on. By doing this, your focus is shifted from the person you love, to the LORD. If you are not a believer or a Christian yet, you should first believe and accept JESUS as your LORD and SAVIOR. You can pray this prayer: “LORD JESUS, I believe that you are the On...
