What makes JESUS happy?

If you are a Christian seeking to know, please, and serve JESUS more, maybe you have also asked, what makes JESUS happy? The answer is simple. JESUS is happy when we seek (Matthew 6:33) and love Him. Ponder on this verse in Hosea 6:6, “For I desire love and not sacrifice; the knowledge of God and not burnt offerings.” JESUS created us to have a loving relationship with Him. So, we should treat Him as our good and loving Father who will never leave us nor forsake us and will always be there for us through thick and thin. A faithful and loving relationship with Him is achieved by communicating with Him in prayer, knowing Him more by reading His Word in the Bible and having faith in His enduring love every waking day of our lives. Or, just by simply including Him in all the things that you do like asking guidance and help from Him in your daily tasks and singing songs of praise when you are happy. Reflect on this verse found in Isaiah 43:21, “The people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.” Psalms 100:2&4 also affirm that we should worship the LORD with joy and sing to Him with happy songs with praise and thanksgiving.

In addition, JESUS is happy when we have faith in Him. For it is said in Hebrews 11:6, “No one can please GOD without faith, for whoever comes to GOD must have faith that GOD exists and rewards those who seek Him.” Now, what is faith? Faith is being sure of the things we hope for and being certain of the things we cannot see (Hebrews 11:1). It is not just believing in JESUS as our GOD and SAVIOR but accepting His words in the Bible whether heard or read and putting them into practice.

Also, JESUS is pleased when we fulfill our purpose of glorifying Him. Isaiah 43:7 says, “Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made”. JESUS created us to bring Him glory; this is the primary purpose of the LORD in creating us. By the way, glory means heavenly happiness.

How can we bring glory to CHRIST? We bring JESUS glory by obeying all His commands written in the Bible and by being submissive to His will. His will means His command. His command is found in Matthew 22:37-39, And He said to him, “You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. CHRIST loves us so much that He gave himself for us by dying on the cross so that we will be saved from sin and hell. He also gives us eternal life so we should love Him back and give Him most of our time. We can show love by being obedient to Him; for JESUS said in John 14; 15, “If you love me, keep my commands. When we obey all His commands, we make JESUS happy. In whatever we do, we should desire to please Him always. As stated in 1 Corinthians 10:31“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all for the glory of GOD.”

Moreover, we are created to do good works for faith without work is dead. Consider this verse found in Ephesians
2:10“For we are His workmanship, created in CHRIST JESUS for good works, which GOD prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” We should love each other more and more and lighten each other’s burden by helping one another in love and faith. We should share our food with the hungry. Not just that, we should also give clothes to those in need, give shelter to the homeless, help those who are in trouble and pray for the sick.

The LORD JESUS is also pleased when we live a peaceful, holy and godly life. Check these verses: 1 Timothy 2:1-4 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."  In addition to these verses, 1 Thessalonians chapter four reveals the kind of life that pleases God. It is said there that we should be completely free from sexual immorality because JESUS did not call us to live in immorality. Think of this verse in 1 Thessalonians 4:4-5, “Each of you must know how to live with your wife in a holy and honorable way, not with a lustful desire, like the heathen who do not know God. It is added in 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 that we should live a quiet life and mind our own business and to earn our own living so that we will earn the respect of unbelievers and we will not depend on anyone for what we need.

In general, JESUS is happy when we seek Him, love Him, have faith in Him, glorify Him and obey Him. Consider this verse found in Ecclesiastes 12:13“The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for these are the whole duty of man.” When we fulfill this duty we are making JESUS happy and we will be happy as well. As a closing statement, contemplate on this verse in Matthew 5:16, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Keep glorifying JESUS! God bless! My prayer is that you will continue with your relationship with CHRIST and live a holy and godly life by being obedient (Luke 11:28) and humble (Micah 6:8). I love you with the love of the LORD. Continue reading your Bible. I hope this article has given you some insights on how to please JESUS

Is JESUS our GOD?

Have you ever asked yourself who JESUS is? And, have you ever wondered if He is our GOD?  If your answer is yes, then this article is for you. By the way, I used to believe that the LORD JESUS is just the Son of GOD and not GOD Himself. But, after attending some church services in a Christian Pentecostal church in college, I started to question who the real GOD is and what is His Name. Fortunately, last night that question was answered and revealed to me by the LORD JESUS. As I was reading an article about baby JESUS on the Bible app for kids which is called Superbook, I ran across a verse found in 1 Corinthians 12:3 which says tbis, "So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse JESUS, and no one can say JESUS is LORD, except by the HOLY SPIRIT." We can learn from this Bible verse that JESUS is our One and Only True Living GOD. And, no one can confess that He is GOD except when the person is guided by the Holy Spirit. On the other han...

The Gift of Salvation: The True Meaning of Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching and some people think Christmas is about receiving gifts. They think about the presents, the decorations, and the parties. They are missing out on what Christmas is really about. The true meaning of Christmas is the gift of salvation. It's about knowing that the world is full of despair and knowing that there is someone out there waiting to save you. It's about not being alone. The true meaning of Christmas is the gift of salvation. This is the reason why the Christmas tree is decorated with evergreen and holly, because these plants represent eternal life. The Christmas tree is also decorated with other greenery because it represents the nature of the world. What is JESUS’ will for us?

I spent my life looking for answers on what is JESUS’ will for me and what should I do with my life. I yearn for a happy, content and fulfilled life and I have this deep longing inside me for a better purpose. Until one night, while I was praying JESUS revealed to me His will. He told me that His will is to save us because He loves us so much. Check this verse in  1 Timothy 2:3-4 which say, “This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Since JESUS’ ultimate will is to save us, He wants us to receive His gift of salvation. We first have to believe that He died on the cross to save us from hell and sin. We should as well make a firm decision to turn away from sin and obey Him. Then we should establish a loving and faithful relationship with Him above others. Take note of this verse in Matthew 22:37-38 which say, “ And he said to him,   “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with a...
