There is power in prayer

Have you ever heard that adage which says prayer works and prayer is the best weapon? Well, I heard it too. I believe in it and hold on to it because whenever I pray, the LORD answers it. I always pray every morning after waking up and in the evening before I go to bed ever since I was a kid. We were trained by our parents to pray. I pray whenever I need to and whenever I am in trouble. I also pray every time I leave the house and go on long or short trips. I pray for protection and guidance always.

The other day, while my husband and I were on our way back home from sending my stepdaughter to work, I was so hungry and I prayed to JESUS that He will let me eat something. And I told HIM that I hope I could eat some pork fried rice. Then unexpectedly, my husband asked the phone from me. So, I gave it to him. Then I heard that he ordered one large pork fried rice from the Chinese restaurant in our town. What a surprising moment. I didn't expect that the LORD would answer my prayer in an instant. I didn't tell my husband that I wanted some pork fried rice but the LORD commanded my husband to order it for me. I was so happy and I thanked the LORD for it. What a very good LORD we have who never fails to love and provide us everything that we need.

Then, after I got the pork fried rice, we headed home. The street where our home is located is not cemented and was covered with snow because it snowed the whole day. While we are on our way, our car with old tires had trouble going up the hill. Then I prayed again that the car can go up the hill and we will reach our house safe. My husband kept on maneuvering the car but it won’t go up. This happened for like ten minutes. We started to worry. So, I prayed again and again and I believed that the LORD JESUS will deliver us from that difficult situation. I applied what I learned from the Bible in Mark 11:24 which say, Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” So as I prayed, I believe that we will make it home safe. And after like five minutes of prayer, the LORD JESUS answered my prayer. We made it! The car was able to go up the snowy hill and we arrived home safely. Oh, how good it is to have a loving and awesome GOD like JESUS. I will never forget that experience.

With prayer and faith in JESUS, we are always victorious. Prayer indeed is a very powerful tool in overcoming obstacles and difficulties. Know this: the LORD JESUS delivers and helps us because He is a good and loving GOD. We will just have to call Him because He is always available whenever we need help. So, we should pray without ceasing (1Thessalonians 5:17) and keep on believing and trusting Him with all our heart (Proverbs 3:5). And, every time we pray we should believe in our heart that JESUS will answer our prayers and petitions (Mark 11:24). God bless. I hope this piece will inspire all of us to believe in JESUS and his great love for us. Believe and trust that there is power in prayer and JESUS answers prayers. I love you with the love of the LORD. God bless!

Is JESUS our GOD?

Have you ever asked yourself who JESUS is? And, have you ever wondered if He is our GOD?  If your answer is yes, then this article is for you. By the way, I used to believe that the LORD JESUS is just the Son of GOD and not GOD Himself. But, after attending some church services in a Christian Pentecostal church in college, I started to question who the real GOD is and what is His Name. Fortunately, last night that question was answered and revealed to me by the LORD JESUS. As I was reading an article about baby JESUS on the Bible app for kids which is called Superbook, I ran across a verse found in 1 Corinthians 12:3 which says tbis, "So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse JESUS, and no one can say JESUS is LORD, except by the HOLY SPIRIT." We can learn from this Bible verse that JESUS is our One and Only True Living GOD. And, no one can confess that He is GOD except when the person is guided by the Holy Spirit. On the other han...

The Gift of Salvation: The True Meaning of Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching and some people think Christmas is about receiving gifts. They think about the presents, the decorations, and the parties. They are missing out on what Christmas is really about. The true meaning of Christmas is the gift of salvation. It's about knowing that the world is full of despair and knowing that there is someone out there waiting to save you. It's about not being alone. It's about waiting for someone to come and show you the true meaning of Christmas. And only JESUS has made the biggest move to save us from all the troubles that we experience everyday. The true meaning of Christmas is the gift of salvation. This is the reason why the Christmas tree is decorated with evergreen and holly, because these plants represent eternal life. The Christmas tree is also decorated with other greenery because it represents the nature of the world. The Christmas tree is decorated with lights and ornaments, because they represent the light o...

What is JESUS’ will for us?

I spent my life looking for answers on what is JESUS’ will for me and what should I do with my life. I yearn for a happy, content and fulfilled life and I have this deep longing inside me for a better purpose. Until one night, while I was praying JESUS revealed to me His will. He told me that His will is to save us because He loves us so much. Check this verse in  1 Timothy 2:3-4 which say, “This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Since JESUS’ ultimate will is to save us, He wants us to receive His gift of salvation. We first have to believe that He died on the cross to save us from hell and sin. We should as well make a firm decision to turn away from sin and obey Him. Then we should establish a loving and faithful relationship with Him above others. Take note of this verse in Matthew 22:37-38 which say, “ And he said to him,   “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with a...
