11 ways to please JESUS

If you desire to please JESUS, then you are guided by the Holy Spirit and so you are on the right track. Consider this verse in 2 Corinthians 5:9, So we make it our goal to please Him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.” So, how can we please our loving God and Savior JESUS CHRIST?

1. Have faith in Him.
First, in order to please JESUS, we need to have faith. This is written in Hebrews 11:6, No one can please God without faith; for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him.So, what is faith then? Hebrews 11:1 defines faith here is the verse, Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Now, what do we hope for? We hope that JESUS will come again and will take us to heaven where there is no more pain and wailing. We are assured of the fact that JESUS died for us 2,000 years ago to save us from sin. And, we believe that even if we do not see Him, He is always with us, thinking us, giving us life and thoughts, and guiding us for He is a good and loving GOD.

2. Earnestly seek Him.
JESUS is happy when we seek Him because that is what He wants us to do. He said in Matthew 6:33 that we should seek Him first above anything and anyone and all the things that we need in this life will be given to us.

3. Love Him.
JESUS said in Hosea 6:6 that He desires love from us and not burnt offerings. He also desires that we know Him more by communicating with Him through prayer and Bible reading. He also emphasized in Matthew 22:37 that the first and greatest commandment is to love Him first with all our heart, mind, and soul. So by now, we should check our purpose and make loving JESUS our main purpose, priority, and goal.

4. Obey Him.
We can express our love for JESUS by obeying Him for He said this in John 14:15, “If you love me, you will obey my commandments.” His two greatest commandments are to love Him first and our neighbors just as He has loved us. Loving our neighbor means being kind, helpful, generous, and forgiving.

5. Trust Him.
The LORD JESUS will be happy if we put our trust in Him. It is said in Psalms 118:8, It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” In addition, Psalm 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path straight.”

6. Thank Him always.
The LORD is pleased when we thank Him. He said in Psalm 50:23, “Giving thanks is the sacrifice that honors Me; I will surely save all who obey me.” Check this verse also in Psalm 100:4 which say “Enter the Temple gates with thanksgiving; go into its courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise Him.”

7. Sing songs of praise and worship to Him.
The LORD is happy when we sing, praise, and worship Him. Psalm 100:1-2, “Sing to the LORD all the world! Worship the LORD with joy; come before Him with happy songs.”

8. Honor JESUS genuinely and offer yourself as a living sacrifice to Him.
The LORD JESUS is not pleased if we worship and honor Him with our lips only not with our actions. Check this verse in Matthew 15:8, “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.” Also, to please Him, we need to offer ourselves as living sacrifice to Him by serving and obeying Him.

9. Obey our parents.
Ponder on this verse in Colossians 3:20 which say, “Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the LORD.”

10. Do good deeds and share your blessings with others.
Hebrews 13:16 reminds us to do good deeds. It says, “And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

11. Maintain a faithful and loving relationship with Him.
Apostle John said in 1 John 4:19 this, “We love Him because He first loved us,” John also tells us in 1 John 4:10 this, “In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins”. Obviously, it was God’s desire and plans to establish a relationship between us and Him. So, let us respond to this plan by receiving Him in our hearts and walking humbly with Him. We should as well communicate with Him daily because there is no relationship if there is no communication. To add, we should always make sure to always love and obey Him.

I hope these 11 simple ways of pleasing JESUS that I have disclosed to you will help you grow in your Christian journey. I love you, my dear reader. Stay close to CHRIST. All glory, honor, and highest praises belong to Him. Amen.

Best and the godly ways to move on from unrequited love that JESUS taught me

Oftentimes we fell in love with someone who does not love us back either because they are not interested in us or is already committed to someone else. This kind of situation is heartbreaking. And, it is hard for our minds and hearts to accept the truth that we are not loved back. We kept on expecting and hoping that someday the person we love will reciprocate the feeling we have for them. But, the more you hope and expect, the more you become hurt until one day you find the courage to tell yourself, ‘this is enough I have to move on’. So, what are the best and the godly ways to move on from unrequited love? Here they are: 1. Believe and accept JESUS as your LORD and Savior. This is the first step to moving on. By doing this, your focus is shifted from the person you love, to the LORD. If you are not a believer or a Christian yet, you should first believe and accept JESUS as your LORD and SAVIOR. You can pray this prayer: “LORD JESUS, I believe that you are the On...

How to be happy the godly way?

Many of us try to seek happiness in our jobs, friends, family, lovers, hobbies, sex, money and material possessions. But all these don't guarantee a real and lasting happiness. Now, how do we define happiness? For me, happiness is loving JESUS and knowing that HE loves me so much that HE died on the cross just for me to be saved. It is also having the knowledge that HE walks with me every day and comforts me. It is having peace of mind and joy as I am being contented and satisfied with my present situation as well. Moreover, it is having a loving and faithful relationship with CHRIST. And, most of all it is being obedient to CHRIST. When you live an obedient life, JESUS will reveal Himself to you and accompany you. His constant presence will give you insurmountable joy. Here are four secrets to happiness that I learned through personal experience and practice: 1. Believe and Accept JESUS CHRIST as your Personal Lord and Savior. Invite JESUS to live in your heart. What GOD likes and dislikes

While I was listening to the song "You are Holy (Prince of Peace)" by Michael W. Smith last month, I came across with the lyrics that says "You're the great I am". Upon hearing it, I forgot that the LORD is the Great "I AM" (Exodus 3:14) and I started doubting. But the LORD reminded me that it's Him and that I should not doubt Him because He dislikes a doubtful servant. So, to help you increase your knowledge of Him and know how to love Him, let me tell you the things that He likes and dislikes. Listed below are the things He likes and dislikes. 8 Things GOD likes 1. He likes us. It is said in John 3:16 that GOD loves the world. It means He loves or like us because we are His creations. He gave us His own breath for us to live. 2. He likes a cheerful giver. It is written in second 2 Corinthians 9:7 that GOD loves a cheerful giver. Therefore we should freely give and share whatever we have to our brothers and sisters that are ...
