What is JESUS’ purpose for creating us?

At some point in our lives, we ask this question, what is JESUS’ purpose for creating me? Why am I here on earth? These questions can only be answered meaningfully if we shift our focus on JESUS and allow the truths found in the Bible to guide us as we address these important questions of life.

JESUS’ main purpose for creating us is found in Isaiah 43:7 which says, “They are my own people, I created them to bring me glory.” What is glory then? The Merriam Webster dictionary defines glory as heavenly happiness. In other words, JESUS created us to make Him happy.

So how can we make the LORD JESUS happy or glorify Him? Matthew 5:16 suggests, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” We can glorify CHRIST by being rooted in Him and by being good examples to others. As believers, we can glorify CHRIST first with our faith, then with our words and last our deeds.

Glorifying CHRIST with our faith
Hebrews 11:6 says, “For without faith, it is impossible to please GOD.” So we can glorify CHRIST first with our faith or by believing that He exists and He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him. Having faith and trusting in CHRIST is the first step to glorifying CHRIST. By having faith, we should make sure that we are trusting in Him fully like a loving Father to us. By having faith, we can be sure that we have a loving Father who lavishes us with His love and that He wants us to love Him too as JESUS said in Hosea 6:6 that He wants love and not burnt offerings. JESUS wants to have a faithful and loving relationship with us. When we love JESUS and have a stable loving and faithful relationship with Him, He is glorified.

Glorifying CHRIST with our words
We should make sure that before we start our day every day praises and thanksgiving to the LORD come out of our mouth. CHRIST is glorified when we continually worship, praise and give Him thanks for the gift of life and salvation and all the good things He has done for us. Psalms 100:2&4 says, “Worship the LORD with joy; come before Him with happy songs. Enter the temple gates with thanksgiving; go into its courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise Him.”  Also, we should guard our tongues. We should see to it that every word we say to others encourages and lifts them up and do not hurt or insult them.

Glorifying CHRIST with our deeds
We should make sure that in everything we do; whether we eat or drink we do it to glorify CHRIST (1 Corinthians 10:31). We should always bear in mind that we do every good deed with great love no matter how small it is. The first deed that we should do that will glorify CHRIST and should be done with love is to share the gospel of salvation to others especially unbelievers so that they will be in heaven with us too. Next is we should always make ourselves available to others. We should always offer a helping hand and always willing to share our resources like food, clothing, money, and home with others. We should always be kind, honest, generous, helpful, thoughtful, and forgiving. In doing these, they can testify our goodness and love to them as Christians and will glorify the GOD that we worship, JESUS.

To be brief, JESUS’ purpose for creating us is to give Him glory. We can glorify Him by having faith in Him, having a faithful and loving relationship with Him, praising and giving thanks to Him and by loving others by sharing them the gospel and doing good deeds to them.  God bless dear reader I hope this piece of writing helps you understand JESUS’ purpose for creating us and your purpose for living. I love you with the love of JESUS.

Is JESUS our GOD?

Have you ever asked yourself who JESUS is? And, have you ever wondered if He is our GOD?  If your answer is yes, then this article is for you. By the way, I used to believe that the LORD JESUS is just the Son of GOD and not GOD Himself. But, after attending some church services in a Christian Pentecostal church in college, I started to question who the real GOD is and what is His Name. Fortunately, last night that question was answered and revealed to me by the LORD JESUS. As I was reading an article about baby JESUS on the Bible app for kids which is called Superbook, I ran across a verse found in 1 Corinthians 12:3 which says tbis, "So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse JESUS, and no one can say JESUS is LORD, except by the HOLY SPIRIT." We can learn from this Bible verse that JESUS is our One and Only True Living GOD. And, no one can confess that He is GOD except when the person is guided by the Holy Spirit. On the other han...

The Gift of Salvation: The True Meaning of Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching and some people think Christmas is about receiving gifts. They think about the presents, the decorations, and the parties. They are missing out on what Christmas is really about. The true meaning of Christmas is the gift of salvation. It's about knowing that the world is full of despair and knowing that there is someone out there waiting to save you. It's about not being alone. It's about waiting for someone to come and show you the true meaning of Christmas. And only JESUS has made the biggest move to save us from all the troubles that we experience everyday. The true meaning of Christmas is the gift of salvation. This is the reason why the Christmas tree is decorated with evergreen and holly, because these plants represent eternal life. The Christmas tree is also decorated with other greenery because it represents the nature of the world. The Christmas tree is decorated with lights and ornaments, because they represent the light o...

Best and the godly ways to move on from unrequited love that JESUS taught me

Oftentimes we fell in love with someone who does not love us back either because they are not interested in us or is already committed to someone else. This kind of situation is heartbreaking. And, it is hard for our minds and hearts to accept the truth that we are not loved back. We kept on expecting and hoping that someday the person we love will reciprocate the feeling we have for them. But, the more you hope and expect, the more you become hurt until one day you find the courage to tell yourself, ‘this is enough I have to move on’. So, what are the best and the godly ways to move on from unrequited love? Here they are: 1. Believe and accept JESUS as your LORD and Savior. This is the first step to moving on. By doing this, your focus is shifted from the person you love, to the LORD. If you are not a believer or a Christian yet, you should first believe and accept JESUS as your LORD and SAVIOR. You can pray this prayer: “LORD JESUS, I believe that you are the On...
