Seven advantages of loving JESUS

It is said in Matthew 22:37-38 that loving JESUS with all our heart, soul, and mind is the first and greatest commandment. And, in 2014 after two years of attending church services in a Christian Pentecostal church in our village, I have come across with that Bible verse and I decided to live by it. Every morning when I woke up I would remind myself to love JESUS first above all by doing the things that would make Him happy like praying, reading the Bible, and singing songs of praise to Him. From that time until now I continue to do those things to glorify JESUS as my GOD since it is our main purpose here on earth (Isaiah 43:7). So now, let me enumerate the advantages that I experienced from loving JESUS. Here they are:

1. You are not alone.
Deciding to love and obey JESUS and doing the things that make Him happy make you feel that you are not alone. You have a good and loving GOD and best friend who accompanies you every day. Therefore, with JESUS life is never boring. Since August of 2012 the time when I received the LORD JESUS in my life, I never feel bored until now.

2. You have a wise adviser and teacher.
In almost everything I do, I seek for the LORD’S advice and He always helps me. Like what I did when my husband and I had a fight. I asked the LORD this, “LORD what shall I do? I am hurt?” And the LORD’S reply was this, “Forgive those who have hurt you 70 times 7. And after hearing that wise advice from JESUS. I felt enlightened and the comforted.

3. You have a Provider.
After three months of offering my life to JESUS and attending church services in a Christian Pentecostal church in our village, the LORD healed me from depression and Schizophrenia and a friend from my alma mater called me and offered me a job. That’s how great the LORD JESUS is. He knows the desires of our hearts. He knows our needs and He provides.

4. You have a Mighty Healer.
This is very true. Every time I am sick I just call and pray to the LORD JESUS, our Mighty Healer to heal me and He always heal me. By the way not just me but He also heals the people I pray who are sick like my mom and aunt.

5. You have a Savior and a Protector.
In 2015, I almost met two vehicular accidents while riding in a motorcycle on the way to our town. The first one was a van with a drunk driver almost hit us but the LORD guided our driver and managed to veered our motorcycle away from the van. The other one was when I was on my way home from town another motorcycle did overtake our motorcycle and we almost hit it. But still, the LORD protected me from that dangerous situation and saved my life. I love You, LORD! Thank You for saving me all the time.

6. You have a Comforter.
Since I am away from my family, sometimes I feel sad because I miss them especially my deceased dad. I missed him so much. But every time I feel sad, I just call on the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST and pray for comfort and He comforts me.

7. You will feel loved.
Loving JESUS makes you feel loved. He will make you feel like a VIP. He will make you feel happy when you’re sad. He will wipe away all your tears and replace it with joy. Like what He did when He healed my broken heart and healed my depression. He made me feel special because He is always there ready to help me. Even now while I write this article, I feel He is with me helping me to write. What made me say that He will make you feel loved is that the LORD JESUS talks to me and in His presence there is joy. And, I feel being loved by the Most Precious Man in the World JESUS CHRIST. I love You, LORD.

Thank you so much, my dear reader for reading this piece I hope this will help you decide to follow JESUS and love Him too. Don't forget, you should first believe that JESUS is real and tell Him you want a closer relationship with Him so He will reveal Himself to you and experience the advantages of loving Him that I mentioned above. Thank you my dear reader. Please don’t forget to leave a comment below. And let’s have more JESUS-centered convo. I love you and GOD bless you.

Is JESUS our GOD?

Have you ever asked yourself who JESUS is? And, have you ever wondered if He is our GOD?  If your answer is yes, then this article is for you. By the way, I used to believe that the LORD JESUS is just the Son of GOD and not GOD Himself. But, after attending some church services in a Christian Pentecostal church in college, I started to question who the real GOD is and what is His Name. Fortunately, last night that question was answered and revealed to me by the LORD JESUS. As I was reading an article about baby JESUS on the Bible app for kids which is called Superbook, I ran across a verse found in 1 Corinthians 12:3 which says tbis, "So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse JESUS, and no one can say JESUS is LORD, except by the HOLY SPIRIT." We can learn from this Bible verse that JESUS is our One and Only True Living GOD. And, no one can confess that He is GOD except when the person is guided by the Holy Spirit. On the other han...

The Gift of Salvation: The True Meaning of Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching and some people think Christmas is about receiving gifts. They think about the presents, the decorations, and the parties. They are missing out on what Christmas is really about. The true meaning of Christmas is the gift of salvation. It's about knowing that the world is full of despair and knowing that there is someone out there waiting to save you. It's about not being alone. It's about waiting for someone to come and show you the true meaning of Christmas. And only JESUS has made the biggest move to save us from all the troubles that we experience everyday. The true meaning of Christmas is the gift of salvation. This is the reason why the Christmas tree is decorated with evergreen and holly, because these plants represent eternal life. The Christmas tree is also decorated with other greenery because it represents the nature of the world. What is JESUS’ will for us?

I spent my life looking for answers on what is JESUS’ will for me and what should I do with my life. I yearn for a happy, content and fulfilled life and I have this deep longing inside me for a better purpose. Until one night, while I was praying JESUS revealed to me His will. He told me that His will is to save us because He loves us so much. Check this verse in  1 Timothy 2:3-4 which say, “This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Since JESUS’ ultimate will is to save us, He wants us to receive His gift of salvation. We first have to believe that He died on the cross to save us from hell and sin. We should as well make a firm decision to turn away from sin and obey Him. Then we should establish a loving and faithful relationship with Him above others. Take note of this verse in Matthew 22:37-38 which say, “ And he said to him,   “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with a...
