Loving JESUS: the most powerful weapon against sin and evil

If you are a Christian and have a relationship with our LORD JESUS already, you sometimes experience disappointments because you still commit sin. Therefore, you have asked yourself, how can I stop sinning? And, you might have asked the LORD to help you overcome your evil desires and temptations. My dear reader, the answer to your struggle over sin and evil is loving JESUS. While I was singing songs of praise and worship to the LORD JESUS, after waking up this afternoon, the LORD revealed to me that the secret on how to defeat the powers of darkness like our evil desires is to control it. We can control our evil desires if we have a reason to do it and let that reason be our love for the LORD JESUS; because He added that loving Him is the most powerful weapon against evil and sin. You might ask why. Let me tell you the reasons. Why love for JESUS? It is because love is the opposite of sin and GOD is the opposite of evil. GOD is love and if you love JESUS above all; in...

Reflection on Romans 12:21

With much trouble happening in the world now, it is sometimes a natural reaction to go with the flow and be bad too. But, our LORD JESUS CHRIST reminded us that we should not conform to the standards of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds as we keep ourselves informed by reading and hearing His Words and transformed by obeying His commands in the Bible. He even added this in Romans 12:21, “Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.” What does the LORD JESUS mean when He said that? This is what the LORD JESUS want to convey when He said do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good. He wants us all to know that if someone has done us wrong, we should not repay him/her with a wrong. Instead, we should try to do what everyone considers to be good (Romans 12:17). We should not get even. We should exercise caution and control over our tongue so we will not speak something bad about that person. We should practice kindness and remain to...

Reflection on Matthew 16:24

In the previous verses of Matthew chapter 16 specifically verses 21 to 23, the LORD JESUS predicted that He must be killed and on the third day He will rise again but one of His disciples named Peter rebuked Him and told Him it will not happen to Him. So JESUS reprimanded Peter in verse 23 saying that he is a stumbling block to Him because his concerns are not of GOD but of humans. That is why in verse 24, the LORD JESUS said this to His disciples: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” What does the LORD JESUS mean when He said this? First, He said that whoever wants to be His disciple must deny themselves. Denying oneself means rejecting your sinful evil desires. We should not give these sinful desires space in our hearts and place in our minds we should ignore and control them because these desires will lead us to sin. Denying oneself also means that we should die to the delights and pleasures of this world by jus...

GOD is real: my testimony

Sometimes, we doubt GOD's existence but, if you want to know if GOD is real, then this article is for you. Actually, I don't know where to begin. I have lots of eminent encounters with our One True Living GOD JESUS CHRIST to tell. I am overwhelmed by my experiences and encounters with Him. Every day is a new happy day of victorious encounters with Him. Every day I commune with Him, observe Him, and learn from Him. He accompanies me every day and He never left me. He is always by my side. He teaches me and guides me every waking day of my life. I love Him so much and He loves me more. He has lavished me with His great love, mercy, grace, comfort, peace, joy, and forgiveness. Since I started believing in JESUS as my GOD and SAVIOR, accepting Him in my heart, believing in His Words in the Bible, seeking Him, and communicating with Him I am changed. I felt more secure, loving, kind, joyful, sweet, more understanding, I worry less, and I have peace of mind and good health. ...

How to solve your problems the godly way

In our day to day lives, it is normal that we encounter problems of many kinds. It is either a health problem, a spiritual problem, an emotional problem, relationship problem or financial problem. Sometimes we have problems as a result of our poor choices and bad decisions. Also, the LORD allows problems to remind us that there is GOD who loves us so much, is very willing to help us, and wants to have a faithful and loving relationship with us. Problems are also God's reminder that we have to rely on Him completely (2 Corinthians 1:8-9). If we are always happy and have no problems, we won't feel the need to ask for the help from the Most High GOD and forget to have a closer relationship with Him thus, neglecting our purpose of glorifying Him (Isaiah 43:7). Problems are GOD's way of getting our attention, drawing us closer to Him and making us strong. So we should have a positive attitude when we have problems. Consider this verse in James 1:2-3 which say, "Consid...

How to pray

Every time we face trials of various kinds, it is a reminder from JESUS that we need to come Him and pray for His divine help and intervention because He cares. That is the purpose of prayer, to ask help and guidance from the Most High GOD JESUS CHRIST, who can turn problems into solutions. Another purpose of prayer is to praise and give thanks to the LORD for all He has done for us. We need also to acknowledge that prayer is a sign of humility and submission to the will of GOD. Remember JESUS said in Matthew 6:10 that the Father's will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Prayer is also one way of getting to know JESUS by engaging in sweet talks with Him. Talking to Him every day reveals His character and the things He likes and dislikes. So make praying a habit. Do it every day especially after waking up in the morning and before going to bed at night so you'll know JESUS more and have a closer relationship with Him. If you have a closer relationship with Him, He will a...
