The godly secret to achieving peace

Achieving peace sometimes seems impossible especially when we face seemingly insurmountable trials and problems. We lose our peace when we are suffering from a heartbreaking situation, failures, oppression, maltreatment, and rejection. These situations grab our peace leaving us confused, distressed, discouraged, and restless. Also, most of the time we lose our peace when something is bothering or troubling us.

In the Bible, however, there are two people who lost their peace because of sin and guilt. King Saul lost his peace when he sinned against the LORD by disobeying the LORD'S command to kill all the Amalekites. He spared the leader of the Amalekites and some of their flocks to be used as a sacrifice for GOD. So GOD gave King Saul a psychological illness giving him no peace (1 Samuel 15-16). Another man who lost his peace because of guilt is Judas Iscariot one of the LORD JESUS' disciples who betrayed Him. Judas lost his peace and was highly troubled after he betrayed CHRIST. As a result, he committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree (Matthew 26-27).

The other night, I lost my peace too because I have sinned against the LORD. I was tempted again to check out for the Powerball Jackpot where in fact, the LORD already told me to be content and not to desire more money before. He already revealed to me before through these Bible verses in 1 Timothy 6:9-11 which say, "Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness." The LORD let my sickness which is the eye roll up act up again the other night as a disciplinary action so that I will repent and learn that money won't make me happy because it is not what is written in the Bible. It is said rather, that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). And we can't serve both GOD and money (Matthew 6:24). We have to choose either to desire GOD or money.

So, as an act of obedience and in conformance to the LORD JESUS' Words and commandment in the Bible, I humbly asked for His forgiveness and I promised Him that I will obey Him and serve Him alone and not myself. Then the LORD JESUS told me this very important lesson. He said that the secret to achieving peace is obedience to Him. When we obey JESUS, we will have a harmonious relationship with Him which will result in peace. When we obey Him, He will be happy therefore He will bless us with peace because He Himself is our peace as said in Ephesians 2:14. Let us also consider this Bible verse in Philippians 4:9 which says, "Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” The Apostle Paul in this verse told the Philippians to obey and put into practice whatever they have heard from Him so that the GOD of peace who is our LORD JESUS CHRIST will be with them. And, if the LORD is with them, He will give them peace because He is the peace-giver (John 14:27) and peace is the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22).

Therefore, if ever you are in trouble now and have lost your peace, reconcile with the LORD JESUS and ask forgiveness from your sins. Even if you think that sin is not the reason that you have lost your peace, you need to understand that troubles, trials, and problems happen so that we will rely on JESUS (2 Corinthians 1:8-9). It means that when we have problems, JESUS is calling us to have a relationship with Him, trust Him, and depend on Him. But before we can have a relationship with Him we need first to acknowledge that we have sinned, ask His forgiveness and repent from our sins. So, come to Him now and establish a relationship with Him by praying this simple sinner's prayer:
  • LORD JESUS, I believe that You are the One and Only True Living GOD. I love You. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for dying on the cross and rising again on the third day just to save me from sin and hell. Please forgive me from all my sins and cleanse me from all my unrighteousness. I repented my sins. Please come into my heart and be my LORD and SAVIOR. I love You, LORD. Thank You. Amen.
If you are not a Christian yet and you have prayed that sinner's prayer sincerely, please attend church services in a Born-again Christian Pentecostal or Baptist church near you and be baptized. Also, read your Bible and obey it then hang out with good and loving Christians and you'll feel your burden becomes light. You will also experience the LORD JESUS' presence in your life which gives you joy and peace. And, don't forget that the secret to achieving peace is obeying JESUS so always obey Him. Thank you so much for reading this article. I hope you now know the secret to peace. I pray that the LORD JESUS will give you an obedient and humble heart. I love you with the love of the LORD. May the LORD JESUS bless you with peace. LORD JESUS, thank You for teaching me and inspiring me to write this piece. Thank You also LORD for the wisdom and knowledge. I love You, LORD. All glory, honor, highest praises, and thanksgiving are Yours, LORD. Amen.

What GOD likes and dislikes

While I was listening to the song "You are Holy (Prince of Peace)" by Michael W. Smith last month, I came across with the lyrics that says "You're the great I am". Upon hearing it, I forgot that the LORD is the Great "I AM" (Exodus 3:14) and I started doubting. But the LORD reminded me that it's Him and that I should not doubt Him because He dislikes a doubtful servant. So, to help you increase your knowledge of Him and know how to love Him, let me tell you the things that He likes and dislikes. Listed below are the things He likes and dislikes. 8 Things GOD likes 1. He likes us. It is said in John 3:16 that GOD loves the world. It means He loves or like us because we are His creations. He gave us His own breath for us to live. 2. He likes a cheerful giver. It is written in second 2 Corinthians 9:7 that GOD loves a cheerful giver. Therefore we should freely give and share whatever we have to our brothers and sisters that are ...

Best and the godly ways to move on from unrequited love that JESUS taught me

Oftentimes we fell in love with someone who does not love us back either because they are not interested in us or is already committed to someone else. This kind of situation is heartbreaking. And, it is hard for our minds and hearts to accept the truth that we are not loved back. We kept on expecting and hoping that someday the person we love will reciprocate the feeling we have for them. But, the more you hope and expect, the more you become hurt until one day you find the courage to tell yourself, ‘this is enough I have to move on’. So, what are the best and the godly ways to move on from unrequited love? Here they are: 1. Believe and accept JESUS as your LORD and Savior. This is the first step to moving on. By doing this, your focus is shifted from the person you love, to the LORD. If you are not a believer or a Christian yet, you should first believe and accept JESUS as your LORD and SAVIOR. You can pray this prayer: “LORD JESUS, I believe that you are the On...

Seven proofs that JESUS is GOD

I woke up this dawn feeling hungry, so I cooked some Ramen noodles and ate. After eating, I went back to bed to continue sleeping but I heard the Voice of the LORD telling me to write an article about the Seven proofs that JESUS is our One True GOD. So I prayed. I told Him that I am willing and His will be done and I asked Him to give me knowledge on what are those seven proofs that He is saying. These are the seven proofs that He gave me. 1. He created the world, us, and everything around us. Colossians 1:16 says this, " For by Him (JESUS) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: " See, it is stated clearly here that all things were created by Him and for Him. JESUS is our Creator. He is our Father and our GOD.  2. He is the Word. It is said in John 1:1 that , " In the beginning was the Wo...
