Fulfilling our purpose of making JESUS and others happy: the secret to happiness

A fter singing praise and worship songs to the LORD JESUS one nice afternoon last week, I remembered that I needed to post another vlog for my YouTube channel. So, I prayed and asked JESUS of the things He wanted to convey so that I can make a video of it and write a blog about it as well. After waiting for JESUS' reply, He finally answered and said that I should write about our purpose. But, I was hesitant because I already have a video and an article about our purpose on my YouTube channel and on this blog. But He insisted that it should be my topic. So I asked Him what He wanted me to write and say. He said that our purpose here on earth is to glorify Him as written in Isaiah 43:7. He says, “They are my own people and I created them, to bring me glory.” The Merriam Webster dictionary defines glory as heavenly happiness. So it means we are created to give glory to CHRIST or to make Him happy. And He said you can bring me glory if you obey the commandments that are to ...

10 godly steps to salvation

Are you interested in being saved and inherit eternal life in heaven? The good news is, the LORD JESUS already saved us by dying on the cross 2,000 years ago so that our sins may be forgiven; all we have to do is believe and serve Him. Listed here below are 10 steps to salvation that are found in the Bible. 1.) Believe, accept, and have faith in JESUS as your GOD and SAVIOR. The first step to being saved is to acknowledge, believe, accept, and submit to JESUS' lordship. Those are the ways that help establish your faith. Now, you might ask, what is faith? How can we be saved through it? Hebrews 11:1 says this, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Now, what do we hope for? We hope that one day we will be united with JESUS in heaven and we will enjoy His company forever. We hope that in spite of our problems here on earth, the LORD JESUS can bring happiness into our lives and save us from our misery. What is meant by the...

Seven best godly ways to overcome loneliness and depression

Have you experienced being lonely and depressed? That feeling when you wake up in the morning and you feel lonely or when sadness would just creep in without reason? Or that feeling when you know you would be fine but it didn't feel like it? You know that your family loves you but still, you feel unloved? Or that feeling of sadness when you lose your loved one and you feel empty? I call that loneliness. And, now that I have a relationship with CHRIST, I can define loneliness or depression as homesickness for GOD, a longing for someone trustworthy who can make us completely happy. Loneliness and depression are also the results of sin. When I sin, I automatically feel lonely and I feel GOD'S spirit leave me and I feel empty no matter how I try to pacify myself. I have discovered that there really is a void in our hearts that needs to be filled by GOD'S spirit alone. When you are lonely it means you have sinned or is living in sin resulting in a lack of GOD'S pres...

God’s Word, prayer, and humility: powerful weapons against temptations

Temptations are what cause us to sin. Sin is the violation of the will of GOD or the law that GOD has given us in the Bible. It leads to sadness and separation from the love of JESUS. And, sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death (James 1:15) . Now, what is a temptation? In the Bible, King David was tempted by Bathsheba while she was taking a shower. It was a temptation because it led David to sin and to take possession of another man's wife. It even led him to order death for Uriah, Bathsheba's husband and put him in the front row of the next battle so he would die. King David succeeded with his plan of killing Uriah and making Bathsheba his wife. But, it didn't bring him happiness because what he did displeased the LORD JESUS. The LORD JESUS became mad at him that He even killed his son with Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11-12). On the other hand, the LORD JESUS Himself was tempted by Satan but He overcame it. How did JESUS triumph over Satan's tempta...
