Have
you ever wondered who will be saved? Or have you asked yourself if
you will be saved? If you are interested in knowing also, then we
share the same curiosity. Just tonight, the LORD JESUS has answered
my curiosity. He revealed to me who will be saved and what attitudes
we should develop in order for us to be saved.
Two
hours ago, while I was contemplating on what to write for this blog,
I had this very interesting and important revelation from the LORD
JESUS. He told me that only those people who know and consider
themselves as His slaves, have a servant's heart, act like one, and walk humbly
with Him will earn a seat in His kingdom. He doesn't like those who
are proud. He opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble (James
4:6). He reminded me of this verse in Matthew 23:12 which say, “For
those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble
themselves will be exalted.”
Being humble is knowing
that you are just a mere creation of the LORD JESUS and you belong to
Him who is your Master, and is greater than you. It is also
acknowledging that we are sinners who need forgiveness and mercy of
our LORD. That is why we should repent, turn to Him, and submit to
His lordship. In case you do not know, the LORD JESUS is humble too.
He said this in Matthew 11:29, “Take My yoke upon you and
learn from Me for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find
rest for your souls.” Therefore, He wants us to be like
Him. Let us meditate on this verse found in Ephesians 5:1-2 which
say, “Therefore be imitators of GOD as beloved children. And
walk in love as CHRIST loved us and gave Himself up for us, a
fragrant offering and sacrifice to GOD.”
Humility
means acknowledging the fact that we can do nothing without the help
and guidance of our LORD JESUS. The LORD JESUS says this in John
15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. If
you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from
me you can do nothing.” Humility
also means submitting to JESUS' lordship, honoring Him and
acknowledging Him as the Most High GOD, and having the fear of
committing sin. Servants fear their Master, as a result, they are
quick to listen and quick to obey. They are completely surrendered to their Master's will and they don't think of their own happiness but the happiness of their Master. They don't think of themselves. They always think of the well-being of their Master first. We should imitate them. For us to be
humble, the LORD JESUS reminded us of this verse in Romans 12:3 which
say, “For by the grace
given to me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more
highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober
judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of
you.” Also,
keep this verse in Romans 12:16 in mind which say, “Live
in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, snobbish or high
minded, but readily adjust yourself to people and things and do
humble tasks. Do not overestimate yourself or be wise in your own
conceits.”
Therefore,
let us consider ourselves as LORD JESUS' slaves, develop a humble
attitude, have a submissive heart, fear the LORD, and become quick to
listen and obey so that we will be saved. Thank you so much, my dear
reader, for taking your time reading this article. May you be blessed
with an obedient, submissive, and thankful heart. I love you with the
love of the LORD. God bless you. LORD JESUS, thank You so much for
revealing this words of wisdom to me. I love You so much. All glory,
honor, highest praises, and thanksgiving belong to You, my LORD.
Amen.
