Happiness is the truth

Are you happy with your life now? If not, then this article is for you. By the way, are you familiar of the song “Happy” by Pharell Williams? Towards the end of the song, the lyric goes like this, “clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth.” That line echoed in my mind after the LORD JESUS told me to write about happiness is the truth.

So, what does the LORD JESUS meant by happiness is the truth? Earlier this afternoon, I had a conversation with Him and He told me that I should have a purpose that would make Him happy. So, I replied that I want to preach the gospel and be a Christian blogger. And He said, “finally you got it.” He added that I should write about my own daily experience and encounters with Him and His good news in the Bible because those are truths and it would certainly make Him and us all happy. Not just that, He also knows that my interest is in Him, in His Words, and all other things related to Him. So, He said that if I write a blog about something that’s in line with my interest, it would be easy for me because I can write and express what’s in my heart.

On the other hand, in a Biblical stand point, happiness is the truth means we can only find real and lasting happiness in the LORD JESUS for He is the truth. Let us consider this verse in John 14:6 which say, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except by Me.” The LORD JESUS clearly said that He is the truth. It means all He said are true. And He admitted in Matthew 4:7 that He is the LORD our GOD when Satan tempted Him. Here is the verse, “Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test”. In this verse Satan tempted Him so JESUS replied not to tempt Him, the LORD our GOD. Therefore, if we believe in Him as our One True Living GOD (1 John 5:20) and have a loving and faithful relationship with Him we achieve real happiness or real joy. Why, because He is the fountain of life, the real joy giver, and in His presence there is fullness of joy. Let us meditate on this Bible verse found in John 15:11 which say, “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” Also, let us ponder on this verse found in Psalm 16:11 which say, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

In addition, His Words in the Bible also are all true. Let us reflect on this verse found in John 17:17 which say, “sanctify them by the truth, Your Word is truth.” The Bible is God’s Word and it is truth. Therefore, if we believe and live according to His Words and commandments in the Bible, we will be happy. Let us soberly consider this verse in Psalm 128:1 which say, “Happy are those who obey the Lord, who live by His commands.” This verse in Ecclesiastes 2:26 too reveals the happiness of a man who does what pleases the LORD; it says, “To the person who pleases Him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

Trust me having a close relationship with the LORD JESUS, prioritizing Him, and obeying Him will bring you happiness. You might ask why, it is because I have experienced it myself. Since the day I accepted the LORD JESUS as my GOD and Savior and committed myself to loving Him, my life changed. He healed me from depression and schizophrenia. He healed my broken heart. He removed my insecurities and inequities. He accompanies me every day. He never left me. He encourages and teaches me. And, He lavished me with His great love and mercy. He lets me experience real and lasting happiness.

In summary, happiness is believing and acting according to the truth. We have to believe in the truth that the LORD JESUS is the One True Living GOD (Revelation 1:17-18) and obey all His commands in the Bible so that we will have a good and loving relationship with Him which would result to happiness. Let us ponder on this verse in John 8:36 which say, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” Being free means we are free from the bondage of sin. Sin separates us from the presence of GOD and without His presence we will be sad. Therefore, let us always seek the LORD JESUS’ presence and be obedient to Him, so we will be happy.

Thank you so much, my dear reader for reading this article. May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). LORD JESUS thank You so much for inspiring me to write this piece. I love You so much. Thank You for the knowledge and wisdom You have imparted to me. All glory, honor, highest praises, and thanksgiving are Yours. Amen.

Best and the godly ways to move on from unrequited love that JESUS taught me

Oftentimes we fell in love with someone who does not love us back either because they are not interested in us or is already committed to someone else. This kind of situation is heartbreaking. And, it is hard for our minds and hearts to accept the truth that we are not loved back. We kept on expecting and hoping that someday the person we love will reciprocate the feeling we have for them. But, the more you hope and expect, the more you become hurt until one day you find the courage to tell yourself, ‘this is enough I have to move on’. So, what are the best and the godly ways to move on from unrequited love? Here they are: 1. Believe and accept JESUS as your LORD and Savior. This is the first step to moving on. By doing this, your focus is shifted from the person you love, to the LORD. If you are not a believer or a Christian yet, you should first believe and accept JESUS as your LORD and SAVIOR. You can pray this prayer: “LORD JESUS, I believe that you are the On...

What GOD likes and dislikes

While I was listening to the song "You are Holy (Prince of Peace)" by Michael W. Smith last month, I came across with the lyrics that says "You're the great I am". Upon hearing it, I forgot that the LORD is the Great "I AM" (Exodus 3:14) and I started doubting. But the LORD reminded me that it's Him and that I should not doubt Him because He dislikes a doubtful servant. So, to help you increase your knowledge of Him and know how to love Him, let me tell you the things that He likes and dislikes. Listed below are the things He likes and dislikes. 8 Things GOD likes 1. He likes us. It is said in John 3:16 that GOD loves the world. It means He loves or like us because we are His creations. He gave us His own breath for us to live. 2. He likes a cheerful giver. It is written in second 2 Corinthians 9:7 that GOD loves a cheerful giver. Therefore we should freely give and share whatever we have to our brothers and sisters that are ...

How to be happy the godly way?

Many of us try to seek happiness in our jobs, friends, family, lovers, hobbies, sex, money and material possessions. But all these don't guarantee a real and lasting happiness. Now, how do we define happiness? For me, happiness is loving JESUS and knowing that HE loves me so much that HE died on the cross just for me to be saved. It is also having the knowledge that HE walks with me every day and comforts me. It is having peace of mind and joy as I am being contented and satisfied with my present situation as well. Moreover, it is having a loving and faithful relationship with CHRIST. And, most of all it is being obedient to CHRIST. When you live an obedient life, JESUS will reveal Himself to you and accompany you. His constant presence will give you insurmountable joy. Here are four secrets to happiness that I learned through personal experience and practice: 1. Believe and Accept JESUS CHRIST as your Personal Lord and Savior. Invite JESUS to live in your heart.
