While I was reading the Bible the other night, I ran across with this verse in Proverbs 12:16 which say, “When a fool is annoyed, he quickly lets it be known. Smart people will ignore an insult.” That verse gave me a very smart idea on how to handle an insult and I thought it is worth sharing that’s why I wrote this article. I believe all of us at some point in our lives have been insulted. Even our LORD GOD JESUS CHRIST was insulted too. They call Him a drunkard and a glutton (Luke 7:33 -34). But JESUS handled the insults peacefully. This verse found in Isaiah 53:7 describes how JESUS responded to insults. It says, “He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not His mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.” I know being insulted hurts but we have to handle it the way our LORD JESUS handled it to maintain peace and keep the love alive among us.
